The unique characteristics of West Cork's geographic location, people and cattle combine to produce exquisite eating beef. West Cork is situated in an area that benifits from the temperate coastal climate of the Gulf Stream. This leads to virtually frost free nights and dependable grass growth almost all year round.

Traditionally bred beef cattle are left to graze on mineral rich pastures, which grow naturally in this area. Combine this with the passion and skill of the herd owners that farm in West Cork and you have a special beef-eating recipe nearing completion.

Finally, by adding a grading system based on the strictest specification for conformation and marbelling, it's easy to understand why only a small percentage of cattle reach the grade of the West Cork scheme.

The result of all this time and passion is West Cork Beef - a product aged to perfection with a fuller more complex flavour.
